Bob has served in a variety of senior Sales and Marketing management positions while at Toshiba Medical System in his total of 19 years, during which he introduced many successful medical devices such as the first large bore MRI called the Titan. In addition Bob has had several other management positions at GE Healthcare, Konica Minolta Medical Imaging USA, Inc., Intermagnetics General Corporation and Cynosure, Inc. These ranged from consumables to Cosmetic Dermatology to Health Care provision at the patient level including running his own Laser Clinics in California.
Bob earned a B.E.S. and a M.E.S. at State University of New York at Stony Brook and has completed all the course requirements for his Ph. D. before joining industry. Bob has taken selected courses in the MBA program in marketing at Fairleigh Dickinson University.
He spent several years in Boston to work with a health related non-profit organization where he worked as IT and Operations department manager, and he also consulted multiple local IT related high-tech companies.
Upon returning to Japan, Mr. Kato joined a start-up IT company Japan Asia Solution Network, pioneered a new business modelwhich was successfully implemented between China, Korea and Japan. Eventually, he served as CEO until he left for a global computer engineering & consulting company, where he is currently working on innovative cloud computing businesses.
